Volunteer and Contribution Form |
Dear SuAsCo Watershed Ally: The SuAsCo Watershed Community Council is an innovative non-profit organization consisting of community leaders working together to find solutions to environmental problems in the Sudbury, Assabet and Concord River (SuAsCo) Watershed. The Council is a powerful force for raising awareness and securing resources to efficiently address regional watershed issues. The strength of the SuAsCo Watershed Community Council rests in its diverse and balanced representation with members from four distinct interest groups: municipalities, businesses, environmental organizations, and state and federal government. These representatives share mutual goals of protecting the environment, strengthening the economy, and improving the quality of life in the SuAsCo Watershed. Having previously relied on start-up grants, the Council is presently seeking to raise its modest operating budget from the diverse interests represented in the watershed community. The Council's goal is to secure self-sustained and balanced funding with no one entity carrying a disproportionate burden of the costs. Thus, the Council is asking the 36 towns in the SuAsCo Watershed, businesses and industries, state and federal government, environmental organizations, and interested citizens to contribute to its support. If you are interested in volunteering on the Council or in making a tax-deductible contribution, please call Nancy Bryant, Executive Director at 978-461-0735 or fill out the volunteer and contribution form (opens in new window for printing) and mail it to the Council at Suite 200, 118 Great Road, Stow, MA 01775. At this time of rapid growth, the SuAsCo Watershed Community Council provides a unique resource for the citizenry of the Sudbury-Assabet-Concord River Watershed. With your help, we can work together to ensure the preservation of our environment and the continuation of our economic prosperity. Sincerely,
