Biodiversity & Stewardship Plan |
Through grant support of the Crossroads Community Foundation, the National Park Service, the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs Massachusetts Watershed Initiative, and the Greater Lowell Community Foundation, the SuAsCo Watershed Community Council has developed an interesting and informative PowerPoint presentation entitled "Communities Connected By Water". The presentation depicts examples of the most critical environmental issues facing the Sudbury-Assabet-Concord River Watershed, as well as some of the solutions being collaboratively addressed through the SuAsCo Watershed Community Council. The presentation pictorially describes the implementation of the Massachusetts Watershed Initiative in the SuAsCo Basin and portrays the many assets and challenges of this unique region. Boards of Selectmen, Conservation Commissions, and other town boards in the 36 watershed towns are being targeted as the primary audience for this program, although it has also been delivered to a variety of civic groups. To bring this thought-provoking program to your town, please call Nancy Bryant, Executive Director of the SuAsCo Watershed Community Council at 978-461-0735. |
